Thanksgiving & Skiing at Snowbird 2009

Thanksgiving dinner was great, Georgia did a wonderful job on the turkey and made dinner very special. Madi & Zane chipped in and made some yummy yams and rolls. McKell made some chocolate turkey's for decorations and Morgan was great for all the general labor needs, setting up tables and chairs and stuff.

We spent Thanksgiving week up at Snowbird. Although the snow was a bit thin, due to global warming, there was still plenty to get out enjoy the nice weather and have some fun.
I think our favorite part this year was watching Mitt Skiing. We had a hard time getting him to stop, he just kept going and going....
Marc had fun as well but was only good for 1/2 day as he just wanted to spend every second at the pool...
Madi and Morgan taking as break and enjoying the sun..
With Mitt and Marc both skiing this year Georgia even had time to hit the slopes with us...

Caramel Apples

Last year we made caramel apples for Marc's school fundraiser/dinner/auction. They were a big hit and we decided to make them again this year. We had a good time but got tired after 2 dozen. We will need to start earlier next year we could have sold many more.

Mitt helped out by trying to play catch with the apples and test tasting all the candy. His favorite was the Oreos and the Reeses.

If you want to attend the fundraiser/dinner/auction next year let us know and we will get the info to you. It is a great cause in keeping Marc's school funded. If it were not for Marc's school, Clear Horizon's, Georgia would be homeschooling Marc and I would have a crazy wife.

Marc The Painter

We have some friends, The Everetts, Peter teaches art at BYU. They are the coolest family. We are on their bread of the week club, they bring us a different kind of great home made bread every friday and it is always wonderful. We were at their house a few weeks ago buying some apple cider, it was the best by the way, that they made with a crusher press thing that they made. We got to talking about Marc, he is doing very well, still having a few seizures but not many and he is healthy and happy as you can see. Anyway, Peter let Marc come over, he made him a canvas to paint on in his studio. Marc had a great time, he loves to paint, he finds mostly animals in his paintings. Moose, Seal, Dog, maybe you can see them too...

Marc The Painter

Here is a little clip of Marc Painting, he is very talented. Quite the impressionist I must say.

Helping The Wilson's in Shelley, Idaho

The Wilson's have been a blessing to our lives. We have lived by them for the past 15 years or so... They recently moved to Idaho and continue to provide our family with blessings.. Sometimes it is harder to be served than to serve. We have been on both ends of that rope.Georgia, Morgan and I all went to Idaho to finish up the exterior of there house. We tried to surprise Taylor and Jennifer but as soon as they found out we were there joined us in sticking the stone puzzlework. We were so glad for there help as we were able to get it all done and visit at the same time.
Morgan took the day off from school to help, he was great, and I can see a great future in stone. If he wants..
Georgia and I did the stonework on our house 11 years ago, I think we must have learned allot because I think we did a better job this time..
This is my Stucco Crew, they were able to get all the color spread and help us with the last bit of stone. Lower left to right Filiberto (Phil), Pedro (Peter, Manuel), Enrique. Upper Left to Right, Ruben, Noe.. They are the best... They work especially fast compared to all the gringo help that is normally at the house.

Soccer Season Coming to A Close

Morgan has one more game left, this picture was at State Cup Tournament were they played the top teams in the state. Morgan did great and his team beat the Ranger's who are currently the number 5 team in the state, lost to the #4 and the #1 teams but proved they are an upcoming team to be reconned with

What a SHOT!

It's going to look like Morgan shot the elk, but I assure you it was just a floating cowpie. A much more challenging shot than hitting a big elk. It was pretty far away. We had some time to play around after Lori got her elk.

Elk Hunting at The Johnson Ranch

We had a great time with Grandpa Bruce, Kurt, Lori, ShaLynn & Jayden. We spotted a heard on the way in to the ranch that had worked there way up into some cliffs. Way to hard of a place to get to.. So with a little explaining to the boys about the simpler possibilities, we moved on. As we rounded the turn to the reservoir we spotted another heard with a couple big bulls mixed in and just as I had explained, just of the road. A few sneeky moves by Kurt & Lori and we had our elk down, skinned and back to the cooler before lunch.

I love this picture of Grandpa Bruce lining up Morgan to shoot a floating cowpie with his very sensitive trigger. I will load a video of the shot. It was a small cowpie, pretty far out out there..
